Platform cut or contributor pay
Public offers: 3%. Private offers: under $1M 3%, $1M to under $10M 2%, $10M+ 1.5%; renewals 1.5%. CPPO adds 0.5%; transactions with South Korean buyers add 1%; India sellers have a separate GST schedule. Source
Required seller cost
AWS Marketplace seller registration and Data Exchange qualification are required. AWS account, S3 storage and data access costs may apply; S3 Requester Pays can shift request and transfer costs to subscribers. Source
Rights
Provider sets DSA usage rights and offer terms, subject to AWS data eligibility and publishing rules. Source
Providers set flat-fee or usage-based pricing; public listings can offer multiple plans, including self-serve or sales-led offers. Source
Platform cut or contributor pay
Snowflake deducts a transaction fee. The provider-specific rate is shown in Snowsight under Admin → Billing & Terms → Fee; payout is 30 days after customer payment clears. Source
Required seller cost
Stripe Express payouts incur no additional Snowflake fee. Source
Rights
Provider is seller of record, sets commercial terms, and must have legal rights to share data; tax duties vary by jurisdiction. Source
Applicants need rights, licenses, or consent. Datasets with unanonymized PII, unanonymized sensitive personal data, or illegally scraped data are prohibited; providers keep IP and set license terms. Source
Creators apply for paid AI-lab projects; Wirestock says approved submissions are paid monthly. Project rates are not published. Source
Platform cut or contributor pay
85% applies to marketplace royalties from content licensed before Jan 20, 2026. New uploads go to Dataset Deals: 50% by submitted-item share or variable bundle allocation. Prints pay 70% before shipping, processing, and tax. Source
Required seller cost
Premium is optional; its price is shown only in the account. Payout minimums are $30 PayPal or $50 Payoneer; account closure below the minimum adds a $20 monthly administration fee. Source
Rights
Creators retain copyright but grant broad licenses, including AI training. New submissions join Dataset Deals with no opt-out; licenses survive account termination. Source
