Before you buy a Z-Wave device, check that it's made for your region and that your hub's driver knows it. Search by brand, model, or product ID, such as ZW100 or ZEN77. Each card shows the radio frequency and whether Z-Wave JS, the driver Home Assistant uses, has a configuration file for it. The date above the cards shows when we last read the sources.

Will this Z-Wave device work with Home Assistant?
Very likely, if it's certified for your region. Home Assistant's Z-Wave integration runs on Z-Wave JS, and its docs say a device "may very well work as intended" without a device file.
A configuration file adds the model's settings, such as configuration parameters and association groups, plus any fixes it needs. "No Z-Wave JS match" means we couldn't match a file, sometimes because the certificate lists no product ID. It doesn't mean the device fails.
Which Z-Wave frequency do I need?
The one for your country. Z-Wave radios use different frequencies by region, and Home Assistant's docs say you can't change an end device's frequency, so buy devices made for your region. 700 and 800 series controllers can switch region.
"US LR" on a card means Z-Wave Long Range, a newer US option that reaches farther. Home Assistant uses it when your adapter supports it. Devices without Long Range still join the same network.
Why do product IDs matter more than the name?
A retail name can cover several hardware versions and regions, each with its own certificate. Z-Wave JS picks a configuration file from the manufacturer ID, product type, and product ID the device reports, and sometimes the firmware version. The details list these IDs and every certified variant, so you can match the exact one you're buying.
